Tachometer for OMC 3 Cyl

Can anyone reccomend a simple tach that will work on a 3 cyl 75HP evinrude (1979)?<br /><br />Thanks

I have a 1982 Johnson 75, and from all the great things I heard from this forum about tiny tach I ordered the same one that is mentioned above. I installed it according to instructions, and after a few calls to tech support I never could get it to read correctly. I even changed plugs from L77JC4 (Non resistor) to QL77JC4 (Resistor). Idle rpms were 1500 with fluctuations, WOT only registered 3800 with fluctuations from 800 thru 4100 rpms. Tried different plugs wires (top, mid, bottom) all with the same results. Even experimented with different combinations of the wraps around the wire. Tiny tach representatives could not simply solve the problem, other than it was picking up interference from elsewhere on the motor. I finally shipped it back to them, and purchased a teleflex Sahara tachometer with harness that plugs into the control box. Works great. FYI
