Tachometer Installation

I own a 1986 20 hp Evinrude outboard and I am looking to install a tachometer to the engine. I have looked at the tiny tach, but am wondering if it is possible to install a proper electronic tack to it. The engine model is an E20TECDC. Any suggestions would be great.

If your mtr has a battery charging system it's possible to do. But it might be cheaper to go with the tiny tach.
