Dear Tech Support,

Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0.
I soon noticed that the new program began unexpected child processing that took up a lot of space and valuable resources. In addition, Wife 1.0 installed itself into all other programs and now monitors all other systems activity.
Applications such as Boating 9.9 Poker 10.3, Beer 2.5, Football 5.0, Hunting-Fishing 7.5 and Racing 3.6 no longer run, crashing the system whenever selected. I can't seem to keep Wife 1.0 in the background while attempting to run my favorite applications. I'm thinking about going back to girlfriend 7.0, but the uninstall doesn't work on Wife 1.0. Please help!

Thanks,

A troubled User

Reply:
Dear Troubled User:

This is a very common problem that men complain about.
Many people upgrade from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0,thinking it is just a Utility and Entertainment program.
Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and is designed by its Creator to run EVERYTHING!!! It is also impossible to delete Wife 1.0 and to return to Girlfriend 7.0. It is impossible to uninstall, or purge the program files from the system once installed. You cannot go back to Girlfriend 7.0 because Wife 1.0 is designed to not allow this.
Look in your Wife 1.0 manual under "Warnings-Alimony/Chil Support".
I recommend that you keep Wife 1.0 and work on improving the situation. I suggest installing the background application "Yes Dear" to alleviate software augmentation. The best course of action is to enter the command C:\APOLOGIZE. Because ultimately you will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the system will return to normal anyway. Wife 1.0 is a great program, but it tends to be very high maintenance. Wife 1.0 comes with several support programs, such as Clean and Sweep 3.0, Cook It 1.5, and Do Bills 4.2. However, be very careful how you use these programs. Improper use will cause the system to launch the program NAG 9.5. Once this happens, the only way to improve the performance of Wife 1.0 is to purchase additional software. I recommend Flowers 2.1 and Diamonds 5.0!
Warning!!! DO NOT, under any circumstances, install Secretary With Short Skirt 3.3. This application is not supported by Wife 1.0 and will cause irreversible damage to the operating system. ;)

Ha! Too funny :D

BUT...you forgot one program...'Resizer' Link

Duck back over to PhotoBucket and grab your avatar file (http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b213/Pierbridge/untitled.jpg) and use the aforementioned program to resize it. The 48K d/l for the dialup folks has to be slowing them down big time. A good size is around 100-150 pix for height and width. Adjust as needed to trim it down a bit. Right now it's 461 X 254.

Pierbridge,
I have had the same problem. Once the upgrade has been made, one may notice the computer worm virus: no-oral/marriednow has been activated. This can be a real problem; however, the virus protector: getagirlfriend/36dd will help.

Just got off the phone with microsoft tech support I could not really understand her but I beleive she said,Wife 1.0 can only be out-performed by Batteries Included 6.9 or you can always fall back on Rossiepalm 5.0. :p

There is an application that will run in conjunction with Wife 1.0. Boyfriend 1.5 However this program uses almost all the memory of Wife1.0. You will loose the use of all supporting programs except Nag 9.5. The good news is that once this program is installed Wife1.0 will stop blocking access to Boating 9.9, Poker 10.3 Hunting-Fishing 7.5 and any other programs that do not involve Boyfriend 1.5. This program will actually get Wife 1.0 to make accessing these other programs easier which gives you a place to go should Nag 9.5 become active. Once installed and running it is also easier to reinstall Girlfriend. However, when reinstalling Girlfriend you must upgrade to a newer version. If you are also running any version of Child it is recommended that you try running Counseling 2.0 before trying Boyfriend 1.5. In some operating systems Boyfriend also makes running Divorce 5.5 easier and more cost efficient. Please consult Lawyer 66.6 for more information.

Re: Tech Help.or anyone Married..

The problem may be to much systems resources dedicated to wrong programs.

I find I have no problem so long as the system resources are set as follows:

Boating 3.0 No more than 10%
Hunting 7.0 No more than 15%
Wife 1.0 as close to 25% as possable
Kids 4.0 typically use the other 50% of resources

However throught expirmentation I have found Boating 3.0 can be run higher than 10% if you are also running wife 1.0 and Kids 4.0 at the same time.

Please note the above settings are using 100% of system resources and do not allow me to run any of the other previosly mentioned programs!

Re: Tech Help.or anyone Married..

Myself I am thinking of installing Mistress 1.0 as part of a system upgrade. It is a program that enhances the main operating system but is much more user friendly than Wife 1.0 and runs in the background un-noticed and provides services and features not offered by Wife 1.0. Any possibility the two programs are not compatible ? I will be sure to run the necessary antivirus and spyware programs to ensure system security is maintained.

Many users have found that running Mistress 1.0 and Wife 1.0 concurrently can cause system instability. I have found that starting Wife 1.0 and then going to Mistress 1.0 alleviates this problem.

Dave..

Trent,

While it is true that many Alabama users have experienced the inadvertent launching of Divorce 1.0 while running Mistress 1.0 and Wife 1.0 concurrently, I do not feel that a regional bias exists. Rather, a lack of understanding of the complexities involved in running the above mentioned programs together. Few users, myself included, have the skill to properly allocate the necessary resources required by each. :)

Dave..
