Telltail install location?

HI Everyone! I have a question about putting a telltail in my 75 115 'rude I have read a few threads and have different opinions on were to put it. I seen on the brp website the indicator is in the big exaust cover between the cylinders.any help wanted.

Thats the spot, drill and tap a hole in exhaust cover.

If you do a search , for tell-tale , you should find detailed instructions.

If your going through the trouble , install a guage instead , much more info. as to water pump condition.

And it'll save your neck.

Install a gauge "in addition" to the tell tale.

OK thanks guys my boat has the gauge but someone put it in the hoses that go out of the heads instead of the exaust cover.

Is the line tapped into the head or at the top of the block?

Someone cut one of the hoses that come out of the bottom of the head and put a tee in there then hooked the line for the gauge on that.I wondered how the pressure read low but the motor never gets real hot.
