Some temp sensors are screwed into a threaded hole, some can be mounted using a Z style bracket, instead of asking us to run around to search for the pic you are referring to try posting it here on your particular thread......I promise, nobody will take away your birthday for doing so.

Are you actually working on a 79 85hpV4 or just want to use it as a reference?

Thanks for the reply, I am working on a 85 hp evevrude, I replaced all the gauges, and could not find where the previous owner wired the temp gauge on the engine, what he had was a diode one the back of the gauge from the ignition to the sender and i belive it was going to the ignition wire in the control box, dont no How or Why but shouldn't be done that way. I just need to no if the Zstyle will work and where to purchase it. All the temp senders that i seen are for Merc no evenrude.........
