I got a good deal on a 14 and a half foot boat and was looking at the plate and it says delhi but through some research I'm thinking it might be a terry. It is open with a storage/livewell box with a seat on it and 2 pedestals in the middle. It's rated for a 35 hp. Anybody know what model this is and how to tell the year or any other info? Thanks in advance

Probably get some pictures up to help us all out. Can you find a HIN number on the boat? If it was built after the mid-70's a HIN number should be on either the capacity plate or on the transom.

Welcome aboard.

I looked up the HIN and it didn't show anything and then I put delhi in for manufacturer and still didn't show anything.

That's probably late 60's early 70's. Check THIS out.

Sorry younggun. I musta' misunderstood what you were looking for. Terry was made in Delhi, LA by Delhi MFG group. See HERE. Apparently you've got a '73 14' Angler Senior tri-hull rated for 35HP.

What other information are you lookin' for ;)

You're not doing anything wrong ... they don't have details outside that range. Boat manufacturing in the 60's and 70's was a (near) melee. Bundles of small manufacturers jumped in with both feet and all sorts of boats hit the market. 30 or 40 years later, there's limited data on a lot of these companies or their boats.

If you're wanting an owner's manual, it'll be hard to find and won't contain anything of significant value to your boat. If you're wanting construction details, the 14' Super in the chart is probably pretty close - 313#s, floatation foam, etc.

Fiberglassics.com (the link I sent you to) is a good resource to see what information is collected about a given boat manufacturer, but it's a forum-esque group similar to iBoats and has limited information.

So, what ya' see is probably what ya' get.

HOWEVER, if there are questions you have about the boat we might be able to answer them here on the forum. There are a few owners over in THIS section who have some threads (don't know how recent they are).

Re: Terry/Delhi model

Well I washed the hull and inside of the boat good which it needed it bad after sitting for several years it actually looks pretty good. I bought it from a guy who's grandfather was the original owner For $175 I got the boat, foot controlled trolling motor, fish finder, and a 1966 Johnson 9.5. It has sat under a tree in his yard for the past 2 years since he inherited it. I'm going to put a carb kit in the motor, but even if it won't run I have a parts motor for my 1968 Johnson 9.5
