Boaters are always the kindest people, Once when i was out on my bass boat early in the morning on lake mead in las vegas i decided to clean my boat so i put up the sunbrella top because its hot here and laid my 2 poles up there so i can clean well, while i was cleaning a big boat boat drove by from afar and when the waves arrived at my bass boat i suddenly heard two splashes.Oh sh&t i thought,so i found about $20.00 in my boat and drove around other boats trying to buy a pole,no one would sell me one, then i noticed a pontoon boat with about 1 million poles on it from afar and i drove over there and offered to buy one,he said he wont sell one and i was pissed inside, then he said he will let me borrow one till the sundown and away i went fishing,i caught lots a bass on that pole and when i noticed the sun going down i started to look for him,to my surprise he was still in the same spot and when i returned his pole i also gave him my most chersished lures i have ever owned.About a year later he came into a restraunt where i was waiting tables and we suddenly reconized each other. We told stories and i never saw him again. There are many of us who have been on this side of the coin or perhaps you were the pontoon guy. Please tell your stories aswell so we can show the love of the water and bring more boaters to the water.I know these are gonna be the greatest stories because im so little on mead and we are all togeather in the u.s.
