Well, you didn't try me. What's your question?

Purchasing a shop manual is definately a good idea, because they often times have the answers you need, but I have found there are a lot of good helpful guys here.

What's up with the attitude? (The squeaky wheel does not get the grease around here)

Obviously, no one who knew the answer looked at your thread.........

GEEEEZ calm down! This site is full of people willing to help anyone with a problem that is described in a manor that deserves a reply.
I think I remember your post (no details) but try rewording it with all info like model number of motor, specific problem, one at a time preferably.
Youl get some answers i assure you!

I looked up your post-
Don't be drilling into the head. The tapped hole is for mounting accys. I'd leave it as is. Just saying

I looked at your original post, but it was something that I was not familiar enough with to make a estimated guess. I only reply to ones that I can help, not to just run my number of posts up & make myself look like an idiot later.

Never seen an npt factory thread to mount accessories? But who knows for sure ...it s an omc...too late now..I drilled it through already...I figured a head is cheaper than buying a new block and if it doesn't work I can always plug it..I am just curious what it was pre tapped for ? I don't think they would put an npt thread in there for no real reason...? I got 117 views already,, maybe someone else will know wtf I am talking about !

I know WTF your're talking about and the fitting goes in top of the block. Change your attitude if you want help on here. To many good guys with lots of knowledge on this site.

Hmm, sounds like the OP has the mental attitude of a typical 15 year old boy. Probably a good idea to ignore this one. He doesn't want help. He wants to complain. Good luck there fella.

OP Not all posts get seen by everyone as posts scroll down fast, so take it easy, especially for your motors sake.

For starters, you asked your original question in another members thread.....not a good idea.

And, you only started one of your own on the subject yesterday.

Re: thanks for nothing

Try posting once again. the worst that could happen is nothing. Leaving this forum would not be good for the sake of what you are seeking. I was new as well, but I got plenty of help over a considerable amount of time. My boat is more than I expected because of the help I got. Leaving this forum would be a mistake you will regret, but hopefully it will not come to that. The advice you are seeking is here

Re: thanks for nothing

I don't think I saw your original post but a lesson I learned the hard way when I first started on here is to make sure your thread has a good title. If it doesn't accurately describe the question you are asking it won't get many views. Also this forum the johnnyrude one I mean moves very fast. You can post a new thread and within an hour it can be off the first page so it may get missed. My first couple of threads were poorly titled and got little to no responses. Now I title them better and I get the answers I need. Calm down and try it again and I think you will get much better results. There really is a lot of knowledge to be had here.

Re: thanks for nothing

I have been frustrated at times on reponses but usually was my own fault for asking the wrong way, leaving off information, or just bad timing. You can simply "bump" your request a time or two as so many requests come over here that your post can wind up 2-3 pages back in a day. Most of the time I get answers that are helpful and informative. Although I have worked on various motors during my life I am new to outboards and still learning.I have two and had a third and they all differ. And if you are new to boats the information on here can be life saving... I have learned a great deal on anchoring, trailoring and repairs and am VERY gratefull for this forum.
