Re: thanks for nothing

tapping into a head on an outboard isnt something 95% of the members probably have done. and so they certainly arent going to give advice on it....there was a guy who talked to himself in the third party often that was doing a lot of stuff on 3 cylinder OMCs.... I would have guessed he would have jumped in..everyone has their comfort zone for posting advice..and the guys who who a lot just might not have been on those days....

I know most outboards work in similar fashion ...but i usually only offer advice on stuff i actually have experienced in real life...and I am sure others are the same way.

when i first came on....I had a few threads that got no replies for weeks.... I got discouraged....but realized...getting no advice is better than bad advice

Re: thanks for nothing

I am new here, posted questions, got incredibly fast answers. Only reasons I could see for no help are
1) poorly worded question not understood.
2) nobody had an answer.

Re: thanks for nothing

i read that one when it was first posted i thought it was a temp sensor hole but ive also read about people adding a tell-tale at the top of the motor to reduce air entrapment so im not going to say that you can or can not. then joe ans and he has forgot more about outboards then i have learnt so im confussed that you are upset that you only got the most experianced ans to the question

Re: thanks for nothing

First time posting here.. Thanks for everything!

I came here looking for help on a water pump question, but a search of previous threads gave me the answer I needed.
I may or may not be back with more questions (maybe even an answer), I just thought this was an appropriate place to say thanks! :)

Re: thanks for nothing

Working on outboards can be frustrating sometimes.... I know mine have frustrated me.

There is no better forum than here.

(I saw your thread too, had no clue what you were talking about... it helps if you post your model number so somebody knows exactly what you are working with.)

Stick around for a while...
