I'd like to that Fireman and his lady for the great party they put together this weekend. This was the second iboats get together they put together.

I see there are others putting together such events around the country and I think this is the most important part of this forum- the community.

So if you haven't been to one- go and if there isn't one in your area- start one.

Saw old friends and made lots more, thank you very much.




And thanks to Satso and gone but not forgotten Tashasdaddy for the get togethers they did too!

Same here, Craig. It was great to see old friends and to meet a great bunch of new ones. Although David and I did not hang around for the band, I'll be interested to learn how the "evening" hours turned out.

Fireman431, Stick...thanks for going over the top to host a fun event...David and I are already planning next years' fare (hint: it includes oysters!). Veritus Honus...you're the rib king, my man!

I do recall (although not much:facepalm that there were some pics taken. Perhaps someone can post some of the "G-rated) ones?

Yes, thanks to Fireman431 and his lady for a well planned get together, it was fun even if we were wet. I did not get to circulate as much as I would like to so I feel that I missed meeting some folks. I have been to most all of the gatherings, helped to put a couple together. There is a lot more goes into pulling this off than most realize and when it works it is always well worth the effort. We know who put the work into this one and had to clean up after the party, thanks, we enjoyed it.

I agree that those in other areas should try and do the same, you get to meet a lot of great people this way and make new friends. We have had them where there was camping for tents and trailers with motel close by, we have just met on a dock and had a great time, we spent several days in a Tiki Hut with Sasto and now this last gathering, they have all been fun and all have had some different versions of fun. Let us all plan more gatherings and get more people to attend, they are fun.

I'm glad everyone had a good time and we were more than happy to do it. Sorry the weather didn't work out as planned, but I guess that's the one thing you can't plan on. Of course, if it wasn't off & on raining, it would have been so hot, we would have been in the pool anyway!

The drizzle finally quit around 7:00 ish and the band played till 10:00 or so. Food was fantastic (thx to VH and CoastalRichard) and so were the libations (NSBCraig...I owe you one :facepalm.

Thanks to all who took the time out of their schedules to spend some time with us. I certainly hope to see everyone at another one of these.

So...who's up for the next one???

It was a great time. There were good friends, good people, good eats, good music, and tasty beverages. The good time was inevitable.

Fireman and family really went above and beyond. They opened their home to iboats members. They brought in a band and set up a weather protected stage for them to play. People were dancing in the rain!!!

Fireman... You're an iboats Get Together Guru!!! You truely are The Host With The Most!!!
