Gutsy....yeah. But necessary? He's taking a huge, HUGE, risk. Nice to go and see the troops and tell them what a good job their doing and all. But he's still the Commander In Chief. The country needs him to run it. My book, risk is unwaranted.

Just my opinion.

I can understand that Spinner. But the place is so "hot", we can't even protect our own service people from terrorist bomb attacks. How they gonna protect the President?

I just hope he makes it back in one piece.

Yes OBJ, I understand, but he felt like he needed to do it for some reason and I'm sure the secret srvice was pulling their hair out the whole trip.

I support our President 100%. I don't think he wanted to get showed up, by that ole battle axe, Hilary Clinton who is over there right now as well. Like to have seen the look on her face when they announced the President had arrived :D :D ;)

Poor Hillary. I think she might have been counting on a little more press coverage than she got.

Just think what it did for the morral of our troops knowing the president of the US of A would take that kind of risk to show his thanks on THANKSGIVING day.

There is no better way to show courage, support and resolve to your troops, than by showing up and giving thanks on an American's most treasured holiday, Thanksgiving, right there in the enemies Capitol City!!

Thank God we have a President with the gonads to back-up his troops and his word!

Re: That's my pres!

__ folks, anyone here realize that Mr Bush is no more than a figurehead--Bush is not our imperial leader--is just a head of a party--spokesman so to speak--
-hell, i could fly into Iraq and do a press confy.--no one would give a ****--so could J. Jackson--no real folks care--

The real people who should be heard are those who serve in Iraq and Afganistan who are governed by the US Military Command. Lets hear their posts in our written media, so forth, regarding the current situation and future forcasts of events by them.

Bush or whoever our head of state is, though the message is nice, and expectadly tradional, is meerly a "pleasant" message. Sate the masses--deliver honey to those with wounds.........

--bottom line--anyone think that our media should tell us whats really happening???????????.....
