The G2 does not look that bad at all.------Young folks are different today !------How many deposits have been put down for the " cyber truck " of TESLA fame.----Even the breaking windows was planned in my opinion.----Marketing is different today.
Today it is monkey see, monkey do and Keeping up with the Jones going virile to the extreme. But, I think the G2 looks good anyway. Next best it the mid-60's 10 hp and 18 hp cowlings, in my opinion. Ocean Pro not bad either.
Johnson was a great name, hope they bring it back as it is still well known, Many don't even know it is out of business. I heard modern outboards described this way recently. "Electronics and Plastic"
Johnson is still a great name today.----Johnson parts are available all day long.------Bombardier has chosen to just market one brand ( Evinrude ) instead of 2.----They own the rights to market the Johnson brand name.------If and when the time suits them I believe.
Etec is used in sea-doos,outboards and snowmobiles.Their A.C.E 4 strokes are revolutionizing snowmobiling and seadoos for reliability and fuel economy.I belive the ACE 4 stroke tech can translate to outboards so maybe a new chance to revive johnson as their ace 4 stroke lineup?
