Thanks Woodonglass for the information but can I paint her after the work is done? I have a really good paint gun set up for auto would that work? Also, where can I get all of the replacement parts such as plexi for shields. Last what does PM a moderator mean and how do I do that and can I stay in this section of the forum or go to where I started out?
Signed dazed and confused.

We have Moderators that take care of the Administrative Chores here on the forum. GA_Boater, JBCurt00, are two of em. If you click on their avatar names you'll see where you can send them a PM (Private Message) and request what you need.

Yup, you can clean her up, sand her down a bit, fill all the scratches and gouges with the 3M filler and then paint her as well. That's what a lot of members do. That's what I did with my 50 year old boat. Came out Great IMHO!!!! Parts are hard to come by. E-Bay is prolly your best bet. Fiberglassics.com, which I know you're a member of as well, is another good resource. Craigslist ads etc... You gotta be a scrounger when it comes to these old boats. It's not like Cars!!!! Plexiglass can be bought online and then you gotta be creative especially if you have to bend it but...It can and has been done by members right here on the forum. So when the time comes don't hesitate to ask.

Yup, truth be known, the majority of our members opt for painting their hulls instead of attempting to re-gelcoat them. You might find this informative...Paint Your Boat with Tractor Paint...Say What!!!

Is this the serial number?

This number is on the stern but is it the serial number and is there a way to get information about this particular vessel from someone or some business who may or may not have factory records, like what facility made at, how many made, specs., serial no 3.jpg etc...
