Well when u get a certain age they ought to make you stay in the house and not take anything apart. You c I took a carb off a 1986 35 HP merc electric start 2 weeks ago and forgot to take pictures and still waiting on carb kit and dont know where wires go where! Yeph dumb I no but that dont make me feel any better. My son just shakes his head and dont say anything, but his mother has to put her 2 cents in, U all know whAT I am talkin about Im sure. Well I need help and Im not real good with wiring schematic. But help, please. Ohio man in trouble, again.SEEMS I HAVE A BUNCH OF WIRES THAT GO SOME WHERE

Have not found the 35 but did find the 30 and 40hp wiring.

What color are the wires? Merc uses a fairly standard wire color scheme.

creme
yellow
lt. brown
yellow, blk. stripe

Think the Red with fuse would go to the rectifier for charging te battery

They all appear to connect to the starter relay
