It is a nice prop but its a 15p, If i can only pull 4900-5000 with a spun hub, I'm over pitched. I bet if I rehub it, my rpms will drop even more.

Yeah, but that doesn't matter so much on a spare. That said, I'd rehub that rascal and sell it. Stainless props are always desirable.

I run 27 to 30 mph lightly loaded on a 24 footer with a light load, but that is at 6,000 rpms. I have a 13.5 by 15p. I have a 17p that I have not tried yet.

Looking at various tests pontoon speeds seem to be all over the place. There is so much turbulence prop selection is critical
boat balance and trim is touchy.A 2 tube pontoon doesn't really plane in the true sense.I think your better off with a longer boat.
By all means raise the motor It won't affect it much but less dragging through the water the better.
the Rubex uses a interchangeable hub. There was some discussion some time ago about it being hard to remove after running.
I like what I have seen of the Solas amita 4 blade props.They appear to be predictable and productive.
Be sure your motor is in tip top tune and the throttle opens all the way.
You might consider skinning the bottom.

Well I finally got to try my new prop. its a 4 blade 14x13p aluminum. My wot is still around 4900 but now im hitting 24 solid, kissing 25 everyonce in a while. I'm sure the tach is garbage, getting 4900 wot with both props. Maybe next time I'll see if i can find someone to loan me a shop tach. I guess 24 is all i'm gonna get outta her, at least till I skin her.
