No appreciable snow here for that this year. Lake is freezing up in the coves, but we have had enough wind to keep the main body from freezing. Was on the water on Monday (24 degrees, 30mph winds, 3-4 foot waves). Yours would have sunk!:p

Nah, The snowmobiles can go across open water, as long as you don't stop. It would be interesting in the chop, however.......

'sotan, you have any pictures of that? it will meld the boating and sled seasons...

Fun stuff for sure.

On the news last night there was a report and video of a guy on a Skidoo running Midland Bay.......in front of the ice cutter that was clearing a path for a ship.

Have fun.

I've got more miles on our sleds than any other entire year and it's only December. I generally keep it under 80 even though we can hit 100mph pretty easily. For me the acceleration is the fun part and the continuous speed is pushing it. The weird rain today will have decimated the trails I'm betting though. It would be hard to get through the winters without sleds. How far are you from the trails? We go right out of the garage which makes it handy for riding.

I have a 96 ZRT 600 and I think it does about 90 anyway have not been able to do a lick of riding down here and what little snow we had on the ground was eaten up yesterday with rain and 51 degree temperatures. It'll snow after awhile tho.
Water skipping looks fun but I'll leave it to the rich/drunk/professionals.

Wish we would have had some of all that snow that pounded the north and west of us.

Well we lost about half of our snow from our all day rain and the trails are rideable but thats it. Bummer because it really rained and it would have been a ton of snow. We had about 30 inches + before the rain. The sled I ride the most is a 98 ZR 600 EFI Limited Edition with 1,950 miles on it. Still like new from so many years of no snow. It's crazy fast considering it's last generation equipment. A little more top end than than the 3 cylinder ZRT but no where near the acceleration but also better mileage.
