Thread size....

I am out of town and not near my House boat. I am curious if anyone knows what the thread size is on the throttle and gear levers are on the 1970's merc controls are. The black and red balls on mine are worn and I have been out touring and shopping here in Mexico Nd have an idea to replace them. But need to know the thread sizes first. Any help?

I don't know the answer but I wouldn't worry too much about guessing.....depending on the material you plan to use, some drilling and tapping can make small holes bigger and you can fill or plug and then drill n tap to make a big hole smaller

Well in case anyone else was wondering. I found the size with lots of web searching. The thread size is 3/8" -24 fine thread
