Three car garage my foot :mad:

They call it a Three car garage, but it can only fit a Tahoe and a CRV, with space left over for perhaps a small riding mower.
What's up with these builders? Has anyone else notice the shrinking cornflakes in the box theory when it comes to the size of garages on the newer homes?

I think they should be 12' in width per car.

Like thurps said, 12' per "car" is pretty standard.

My "2 car" is only 20', but I asked for it that way to spare a tree I like.

its a little on the rustic side here but plenty of water,

actually the standard double garage door is only 16 feet. with 2 feet on each side of the door. giving a 20 foot garage. the standard single door is only 8 feet. anything above is an upgrade. we have always used a 18 foot door, with 3 feet on each side, for our basic garage.

Actually it is an investment property that i was looking at with the possibility of flipping at a later date. The appraisal falsely stated it to have a 3 car garage, i disagreed and shared with them some of my thoughts.
I was pissed since i drove almost 5 hours to see the place for myself.

I do know what you mean... my 2 car garage is really a 1 car garage, with enough space left over for my workbench.
