Put a new throttle cable on my 2007 Honda 75 hp. Idle rpms are good but full throttle rpms are way too high. What do I do??

Welcome,
Are the full throttle rpm's too high when using the boat out on the water or just in neutral?

Neutral doesn't matter although there should be a stop to limit rpm's in neutral.

Assuming the boat is in gear when your full throttle rpm's are too high, you need to know how high, and using that info, get the correct prop for it as the one you have now is too small!

Boat is not in the water. Motor hooked up to hose. Rpms are high when in neutral and when I put it in gear.

Insane to test an engine out of water at full throttle while on muffs, could test at idle/fast idle or bit more while at loaded when geared forward, just watch out for spinning prop...

Happy Boating

Only did it for a few seconds and won't do it again. Hope to get it in the water soon. Thanks again.
