TILT ON 85 H.P. FORCE

THE TILT WILL WORK GREAT, IT JUST WILL NOT STAY UP. WE HAVE BLEED THE RESIVIOR AT LEAST 50 TIMES AND IT HAS AIR ESCAPING EVERY TIME I LOOSEN THE SCREW.WE HAVE PUT 2 QUARTS OF TRIM HYD OIL THRU IT.THE ONLY SCREW I CAN FIND IS ON THE SIDE ABOUT HALF WAY DOWN THE SIDE.
WHAT ARE WE DOING WRONG?

check your piston seals.

You might want to check the check valves in the valve body also mine did that and check valve needed rebuilding.Replace oring on outside of check valve. Valve body will also come apart and is very small oring inside for check ball and spring....Mercury dealer still has these but i matched mine at hydrolic repair shop.
See you are from Ashland city used to have trailer and boat dock at dosiers boat dock and restaurant there in the 1950's..Is it still there on the cumberland river?

hello dawg,was reading and yes dosiers and the fish resturant are still there,we were there sunday trying out boat just thought id let u know
