Tilt & Trim 2000 90 HP Johnson

Tilt & Trim only works on the down position .Got my service manual out , nothing about Tilt & Trim . Any suggestions would be welcomed .Engine has a opening on the port side of engine that says manual release ,how do you make this work ?

Swap the t/t relays once and see what happens. You could also have a bad t/t switch. You open the manual release valve two turns and then you raise and lower the mtr manually.

I swapped the relays ,same problem,also took a "hot wire" put it on the blue wire (got nothing) put it on the green wire(motor ran in down mode) . I have 2 switches one on throttle and one on side of motor(of which I know you know).

Finally got it to move up , put a hot wire to blue wire under terminal that relays sit in .Does that mean the terminal needs replacing?

Pull the relay out and check the wire connections for being loose or corroded that feed the blue wire.

Traced blue wire under relay harness went to a safety switch(up limit switch) plunger was stuck , tapped it and it came out .T/T works great . Had to lift motor up getting in drive way thats when it stuck. Thanks for your help .
