hey RRItt.... i too have a 86 bayliner and i was going to replace the o rings in the pressure valves in the top of the pump to fix the pressure bleed down issue. that causes the engine to drop .. mine have c-clips that secure them in and i couldnt get them out. i didnt want to take the thing apart after reading how intense they are. and also i guess since they ahve been in there since 86 the ss lines have galled to the aluminum housing to the point a line wrench started to round them...now what?

1995 Force 120 Tilt/trim Was Going Down But Not Up. I Was Working With This Until Mechanic Can Look At It. Was Out Sunday And Got Into Shallow Water And Had To Lift Up Manually. Now It Won't Go Down After I Was Able To Lift Up. Then I Shut Motor Off And Still Unable To Get Motor Down. Tried To Crank And For The 1st Time In 8 Yrs Nothing But A Wirr. Motor Not Turning At All. Connections Are Good. Sounds Like Something Spinning And Not Turning Motor At All. This Motor Has Always Cranked. Towed In/shrimp Season Over?

trim malfunction probably a $10 relay that is unrelated to starter problem.
