Re: tilt trim relays clicking

Trace the PTT motor wires back to its connector and disconnect it.

The PTT motor is a two wire dual polarity motor, meaning that if it runs in one direction, it will absolutely run in the opposite direction.

With proper size jumper cables, connect one battery lead to one of the PTT motor wires. Connect the other battery lead to the remaining PTT motor wire. If the PTT motor runs, then obviously the electric motor is okay and the problem is elsewhere.

If the PTT motor is okay, the usual cause is either a loose wire, a corroded wire, or a tight but dirty wire connection.

Thanks Joe, i did put direct power to the motor and it runs, the problem lies somewhere in the wiring gues i will have go over all wires, it has a black box mounted in boat with relays inside had everthing working after mounting box back in boat, just get clicking out of relay, so moved box everthing works, then it just went back to clicking, will have mess with wires AGAIN!
