I have a old 72' 85hp that I just got running, would like to replace the old worn out tilt with a good tilt/trim system. Anyone know where to look for one?

Re: Tilt / trim

Have seen a CMC after market on here. Has a setback bracket that mounts to the transom and it mounts on the bracket with the contents inside.

ebay has them every once in a while. There was one posted last week. Keep checking periodically and you will find one.

I agree about e-bay. It is the best sourse for outboard motor parts. You have to check at least once a week. Most likely since the boating season is slowing down. Look in the spring for the new listings. I buy most of my replacement hard to find items for my 1979 Evinrude there. I did purchase a trim tilt unit on e-bay last year and it was in new condition. Works beautifully ever since.
Good Luck!
