next i would try to remove the cap off the engine and if you look to where the wires from the tilt/trim motor go to, you will see 2 plugs...pull them out and switch them...if the opposite works then you need to get a new relay plug...thats what fixed it for me

my uncles motor is a 150 blackmax merc xr 2 and he recently took his to the shop to have his t+t worked on it would go up but not down it ended up being a o-ring letting air in and not leting the solinoid do its job

I found the resevoir fill plug, filled it and the engine went up and down in a jerky motion. Then it went all the way up and now won't come down. The trim/tilt motor sounds normal and it always worked before and I didn't play with any wiring. Could there be some sort of blockage or seal blown?
Any help would be greatfully appreciated.

I think when I filled it the fluid bottle was not clean. Is it possible some speck of dirt may have clogged something???
