Ok, on the 1972 85hp evinrude, it has no tilt/trim on it. Now, if I raise the engine up I see two pistons, shocks, can I put a piston that is hydraulic in place of the shocks that are in place now? Of course removing the others first. Looking for the least expensive way out. Is that the best pressure point? Thanks MC

Re: tilt trim ?

im sure you could, but they had an add on system on ebay that would bolt right up to your motor. i dont think putting hydralic cylinders in the place of the shock absorbers will be cheap.im sure the cylinders will be hard to find then you have to buy lines and a pump.ask around at boat mechanics they might have some old systems you can buy cheap

OK, thanks, I saw the one on ebay, there was one cylender missing and when I asked him about it he tried to tell me thats the way it should be. With an answer like that I don't think I would take his word that it worked..there were others and they all had two cylenders, all about the same yeay also..MC :p
