They are the best around. Best prices...free flat repair even if you didn't buy your tire there.

And I was wrong...they recommend replacing tires after 6 years and won't service them if they are older than 10.

They are not the best in my area by a long shot. I suppose they are a franchise so depending on who runs it makes it good or bad. Actually the best prices and best service in my area is good ole Walley World....best prices, best after the sale service ( flat repairs) and very friendly staff.

Trailer & light truck tires are made the cheapest way. Highest profit tires in the world. Replace EVERY 3 to 4 years.......... Not on worn out tread ? Like auto tires ? A 70 mph blow out on those tires. Is just as safe as a car blowout ?

I mount and change my own tires, my solution.
I try and do the same. Used to be able to use the tire machine at work... then the boss went flipshit about it not being fair to the others that dont know how to use it (Im a school bus driver and have a background in mechanics.... the lead mech knows this, and allowed me to use the equipment from time to time). So, now Im on the hunt for a used rim clamp machine and a cheaper used balancer.... I refuse to pay someone $50 for mounting and balancing a tire, or $35 to do a half assed flat repair.... (and this is if you buy the tires with them...) I dont have a Discount locally, and the Big-O is just a bunch of bullshitters trying to upsell everything that you dont need....

with three trailers, a Jeep and the Daily Driver, I have a few tires to maintain.....

LOL...you are wrong. They are not a franchise.

I wouldn't let Walmart even look at my tires let alone mount and balance them.

I have the harbor freight manual tire changer. Modified with the Lucid Autowerks duckbill mount/demount attachement. I strengthened the bead breaker, no welding, by inserting metal spacers/ bolts between the arms. It bolts to the garage floor using concrete threaded inserts. I have a bead setter (air tank) when needed. I have the bubble balancer, with the simple mods to make it more precise. I do my 10" all the way up to my silverado's. I've done Expedition and Suburban sizes also.
Helps keep me young.....😉
