Hey Mick, I managed to get the temp up to almost 50 in just a few minutes without even closing off the ends. I know the hull was not up to temp but the resin kicked off good. That heater and trap should allow me to at least finish off the glassing part of the project.
I will bed the stringers next trip home.

Now that is determined Bob! I gave up last night when the heater in the insulated shop ran out of propane! The work looks really good!

Nice that the heater worked for you! I should pick one of those up. I'm gonna be borrowing one for the secast and foam but it seams like the forced air would get me in the 70's without my shelter

Hey Mick,
I really like that little heater. It's 40,000 BTU and heats my garage to 80 in a heartbeat. They also aren't that fuel hungry either. I would highly recommend them.

I just made about 4 trips across the road to the neighbors to pick up armfuls of firewood. That stuff is everywhere. Just look next to peoples houses while they are not home. Just kidding... He said take all I want since he doesn't have a wood stove.

Mostly the ones with water between the shores.
Just kidding.
Most are man made, reservoir type. Damed up rivers.
I like to float the river systems too. My favorite lake is in Arkansas. It's name is Greers Ferry lake. It's man made and really deep (400+ feet).

What kind of speed do you get 110-120 knots?
I have been toying with the idea of building a Lancair, but that is really large $$$$.

She TAS's out about 105 at 5000ft and 110 at 8000ft. Not bad for 115hp. But what is fun is she's fully aerobatic!

That would be truly awesome. My first instructor was an aerobatic instructor also. He was a great guy but hard a very dry since of humor.
I really love to fly but haven't for a few years.

Thanks Bob. On the Lancair, I flew one about ten years ago. Fast, but not as "crisp" as the "yellow peril"! She's a Victa Airtourer and has (IMHO) a delightfully harmonised set of controls, i.e, you just think where you want to be in the air and she takes you there. My advise? Get going again with the flying... it keeps you young! Have you had a look at the Glassair II kit? I know a guy who has built one with a 300hp AEIO540 in it... how about 300kts on the deck! Yeehah!

Yes I did look at the Glassair, and yes I did like it but then I found the Lance air and fell in love with the lines. I read an article about a guy that actually took the two planes and married the features of each that he liked together. It came out really cool. He painted a winged goddess on the belly and used his neighbors wife as the model for the face. I'm sure that went over well with his wife and her husband.

you dont want to go home and work on your boat, you want to come up here in the frigid north and halp me spray gelcoat Then we can go out on the lake with it. No need to take it off the trailer, Just pull it around behind the truck. We could drill a hole in the ice and sit in the boat fishing.
