Re: TM Battery Recomendations
Get a true deep cycle, not a starting/deep cycle combo. How big is your budget? If you have the money an Optima deep cycle maring battery might be a good investment. These are the only low maintenance battery I would use, personally. They deliver a lot of performance under the toughest conditions for longer than most any other type of battery. At nearly three times the price it takes a long time to make the extra cost pay for itself, though. Otherwise I prefer a deep cycle that will allow me to add water when necessary, since the flooded cell no maintenance batteries will eventually need water but won't allow you to add any. Whatever you get, bigger is better as karrick says, and make sure you NEVER drain it all the way- half its amp capacity should really be max, keep distilled or deionized water in it, and charge again IMMEDIATELY after using it! Otherwise, you'll be throwing money away and cussing whichever brand of battery for not lasting very long.
