In 1718, English pirate Edward Teach better known as Blackbeard was killed during a battle off the Virginia coast.

What we need now is that mysterious Pirate that came and went from the board. He was, at the least, very entertaining and would have had some good comments on your revelation Mark.

It is a little know fact that Captian Edward Teach (LOL!) was issued numerous citations from the Royal Coast Guard for infractions of the Royal Regulations including soldered connections instead of crimping and an insufficient number of PFD's for the hands on board.
