Today's Rant...Idiot smoking BLUNTS in restaurants

Back down in Louisville (actually New Albany IN) for a few days and stopped at Applebees for a draft or two and supper. Have tried this place a couple times and every time it's the same deal....idiots at the bar chain smoking flavored Blunts.<br /><br />WTF is it with idiots smoking Blunts?<br /><br />Those nasty azz things smell like burning perfume.....sickenly sweet, horrid acrid odor, and the damu things aren't even really tobacco. I think these jive azz morons were smoking the "Peach" flavor from the way the box looked, of course they don't smell a damu thing like peaches.....more like burning construction paper soaked in Off Insect Repellant.<br /><br />Oddly enough, Ray Jay and The Nortious Bead Head weren't high rollers either, nursed a draft beer and some fruity azzed shemale drink the whole time I was there.<br /><br />My clothes and hair stink so bad a $20 Hooker's perfume couldn't mask the smell.<br /><br />I phoned the manager and inquired about their cigar policy (clearly stated on the back of the menu) and she said they had a strict No Cigar policy, and she had no knowledge of anyone smoking cigars in the place tonight. Oddly enough, she stood and shot the sh!t with them several times while they were burning that stench. <br /><br />Another place on my never to return list.

I understand a blunt to be a cigar with marijuana rolled inside. A cigar is just that-not a blunt.<br /><br />On the topic of policy, it is obvious the manager was participating in the policy violation, by permitting it to go on, thats why you got no support there. <br /><br />Try higher up the corporate ladder, maybe they will get a secret shopper or somthing. But be clear on the words you use so they get the correct message.

I dislike them flavored sticks. I'm hooked on Swishers though. Tried the strawberry ones once,got to admit they're nasty. Was it gay night at Applebee's that nite?<br /><br />I get upset when my Swishers are sold out because some gang banger can't roll a dobie with papers and instead has to hollow out a Swisher.<br /><br />I only smoke em inside when I ask.

About corporate policy you are dead on. About cigars you are sadly misinformed. If a Blunt is not a cigar, then a Panatella is a reefer.

Phillies Blunts are simply cigars and that is it. The "girlie" variety of them look like ciggaretes so it is entirely possibe that the management you speak of as allowing the violation, simpy may not have realied them to be cigars. <br /><br />Most if not all cigar smokers ask whether or not they can smoke em inside. I think it is probaby against the rules to smoke them in a restaurant most of the time.
