Man, Fish, sorry to hear of what you have to do today. And the pic, oh that brings back memories. A friend of mine had your twin. When she got too old to move he asked me to take her on her last trip to the vet. He could not even say good-bye.<br /><br />I know how tough it is to make that decision for your best friend. Here's to better days, and thoughts of him chasing squirrels and rabbits (and catching them too)!

Very sad news :( :( .<br /><br />You can seek comfort in the fact that you had the compassion & love for your dog to do the right thing and not allow him to suffer needlessly.

Thanks again everyone. yes it was very hard to do. i am glad its all over with. i stayed with him till the end and swear his eyes and the one last lick were telling me thankyou in those last seconds.i appreciate the support forum i had here it sure helped alot.as i sit here and type this i look down at my feet where he is supose to be laying and two things are in mind i miss him, and its good thing i am a touch typist. again thanks alot everyone.

They become part of the family Fish. We have four here now. We had a golden retriever in the past. I swear he was almost human. The day came where he was going through the same situation your dog went through. I think making the call to bring him in was one of the hardest things I ever had to do. <br /><br />I feel your pain also. :(
