I have a 9.8 4-stroke Tohatsu that has a wash
hole but no adapter. Is it part of a flush kit or something? Can anyone tell me where to
find one on-line? I'm fed up with local dealers.
They're no help at all.

I found one at INTERNETOUTBOARDS for $15.99
and no shipping.

I just bought a 9.8 tohatsu as well. In the manual, it says to remove the prop when you're flushing it. Is this just for safety's sake? Can I get by, by hooking up the adapter to the hole and keeping the hose away from the prop? Thanks.

I never saw any reason to remove the prop. It's probably a liability thing. I haven't used mine yet. Does it work pretty well?

Do you mean it's a 'protect an idiot from
themselves' issue?

Idiot's must be protected from themselves and we must be protected from them.
