What is the performance issue if any if using BR8HS-10 plugs when the factory recommended are BR7HS-10, 7 silight warmer compared to 8, being slight colder. The use is at plain summer, about 23? centigrade. Don't know if it's a mental issue, but feels on the trottle that 7 responds better at wot than 8 ? Any ideas or comments...

The 8 dissipates more heat to the head quicker; will foul faster.

Hola Paul,

By fouling faster, you mean at idle speed ? What about constant wot to prolongue fouling ? Sent an email to NGK with same inquire, will post whatever they have to say....

Especially at idle, yes. YMMV at WOT, depending on loading and fuel.

NGK tech answer : With a colder plug the chances of fouling or tip deposit accumulation increases. You may have no issue at all but keep in mind the plugs will foul easier. So go for the ones the manufacturer recommends.

I have a drivers license...I can drive a car.

The same example applies if : I don't have a driver's license at all...

For the audience, you can place any plug even a car plug, the engine will start, but will they last and perform as expected ? Definitely Not!!. Let's stop the stupid word of mouth spread saying, yes, these will work fine, let's be correct technical oriented in the right path and know the limitations of the "other".
