98 here in SC yesterday. The weather goes in cycles so I don't expect this to continue much longer. The heat doesn't bother me that much but the woman is not a happy camper on the boat during heat waves. If she isn't having a good time then nobody is having a good time LOL Stopping to swim only cools her down for a short time. The topper doesn't help much either. I don't like to drink beer in the morning. Boating without ice cold beer can be done but takes some of the fun out of the experience

here when it gets too hot to fish, the jelly fish also make it so you don't want to jump overboard.

This thread reminds me of the country song where the guy in the bar say "too hot to fish/too hot for golf/much too cold to go home."

I bought a 12v DC fan with a magnet base that you set the base atop the bimini and the magnets secure the fan under the bimini--it is the coolest. $22 at WallyWorld...We are gonna hit 100 today.

We hit the river at 7am yesterday. Had the whole thing to ourselves, skied, wakeboarded, cruised in with my coffee, off by 9---temp hadn't even hit 90 yet. Hit it early!

If I could figure out a way to wring out Northern California you'd have plenty of water in Texas. I've had the new boat out once since I got it and only then because I have Satellite weather onboard and can pretty much predict when he rain is going to hit. 3 hours on the lake and no sun is what I got but it was better than nothin.

#24, I hate to burst your bubble, but a magnet won't work on 1 1/4" aluminum. A fan sounds good, however. Maybe you can use a clamp.

I just suck it up, and try to keep a little wet when the thermo gets too high.

On the other side, night floating will be great after a 90 degree+ day.

Here's what I do when it's HOT. As soon as I get away from the ramp/dock I jump in. Then when your underway and wet it acutally feels cool.
