Nice looking boat. I agree that it might be normal.
Maybe go to a boat launch and watch other boats as they take off. And then compare it to yours.
I also agree more throttle is better...

Does the bottom have much rocker? Bow to stern arch or curve?
Getting out of the" hole" takes some power Read some Etec performance reports. You'll find boats that get on plane
in 5 to 10 seconds. Or less You don't necessarily need to be that fast but you need to get through the awkward stage
reasonably quickly.

Yep... Keep in mind that the whole time you are between 6mph and about 14mph or whatever speed you get fully up on plane you will be throwing a huge wake at your fellow boaters too.

If the AV plate is even with the bottom of the hull it's too low, you will need to raise it up several inches for it to ride at the correct level. Having it too low will cause the stern to dig down deeper when accelerating. But, what you describe is normal to some degree on all boats.

Ayuh,..... I completely agree,..... Raise the motor, 2", or the full 2, 1/2" to the bottom of the box, 'n try it,.....

Bury the throttle on launch to jump up onto plane, then pull back to cruise,....

Power trim,..??

Bondo , yes its a power trim and actually the cav plate is not flush with the v-hull or the bottom of the pod its roughly half way between, sorry my bad. The engine is bolted thru the pod and would be very difficult to move and not something i want to tackle right now.
Some have suggested using trim tabs to get on plane faster ,ive thought of trying that along with those dolphin fins ? I think thats what they are called . They are mounted on the cav plate ? correct me if im wrong.
Yes TCAT the engine weighs somewhere around 320 pounds ,add to that another 120+ pounds for the POD and the transom is 2" thick,thats a whopping 4 inches of thickness at the stern. Overkill is not always a good thing.
Steele, what is rocker ? The keelson should be perfectly straight ,was checked with a lazer during construction.

At $125 they are cheap, easy, and likely to be the best $125 you'll ever spend on the boat.

Also check out the bennett tabs SLT. I have them and there is no hydr. oil to every leak. Plus I like that they are built pretty sturdy. Not to say the smarts are not good but I like things that have less things that can go wrong with them.

I can only comment intelligibly on the Nautilus Smart Tabs but I love mine. Hole shots are a whole new experience. I'm up on plane in no time at all and the slow speed wander is a thing of the past.

Hi again folks or should I say fellow boaters, , sorry for being so late in a follow up reply, but I managed to get the boat out on the pond again last weekend . Got some good snap shots of her sitting in the water as GA suggested.
I think im slowly getting over my first time jitters , keep in mind I haven't bin aboard a boat in over 30 years. If all goes well I will be planning another trip next weekend. Isn't boating exciting and terrifying at the same time!!.....well atleast for me .

Note the tinted glass ....err plexiglass.
