I have a pair of 1999 225hp carburated johnson's the port engine (counter rotating)all of a sudden began putting out 16.2 vdc when at crusing rev.s 4300.
a impeller kit was installed for possible cooling problems but that did not fix it, new battery didn't help, regulator /rectifier was changed by a dealer and it still overcharges when at cruising rev's, could the stator be faulty? or could there be another problem? willing to try anything.
