Looks good from my house...
If that is the lip from the original deck, and you are going back with the same set up, either leave some of it there, or mark it really well for future reference...
As far as your grinding goes, it looks A-OK, just keep in mind you only need to get down to the first good solid layer of old 'glass...
BTW, you are using your PPE? right?...

You need to grind down to raw glass .. get rid of all the paint coatings before you start your lams.

Glass on glass .. Not glass on gel or paint.

I would really like an over all pic of your project .. not just the close up shots you have been providing.
