Hello, I have a force 70 and I had water in my oil so I was going to put new seals in it. How hard of a job is this to do and what tools do I need to do it?

The drive shaft is held in place with a special driveshaft nut.
You will need a special tool to remove the nut.
Some use a screwdriver and hammer to try to remove and usually screw it up. :(
It's installed under tuorqe and is hard to remove even with the tool.
Regular hand tools and a press can accomplish the job.
The rest is fairly easy to reseal, just be careful when you remove any seals
as you can damage the mating surfaces and the damaged area can leak.
There's a screw on the side of the nosecone, don't remove as it holds the
linkage in place and can be a pita to replace.

Do you happen to know the name of the tool so I can order it? Will the seals just pull out by hand or do I need to use picks to get them out? What is the press used for? Sorry for all the questions just want to make sure I ask questions before I start instead of during the process. I really appreciate your help!

The press is used for installing the seals, much easier than trying to push them in by hand. But!! not everyone has a press.
Yes pry them out or turn the part over and see if they can be driven out?
FT11293 is the tool. $53 on ebay 202574814241 (took me 35min.to find that)

Thank you very much for the help I really appreciate! There isn’t anything that needs greased is there? Should all use the lower unit oil I would think.

Just use a sealer on the mating surfaces of the new seals.
Use grease or something like Anti-seize on the bolts.
Then do a pressure test.
You can find U-tube video's on how to make a pressure tester.

I definitely wish I read this prior to removing that screw 3 years ago lol. Definitely took like 3 days to get it back in.

The only grease used inside the lower unit would be "Assembly Grease"
It's used to hold the parts together until it's all back together.
That grease melts and dissolves in the oil.
