Whats everyone torquing there head bolts(for the water jacket gasket) down to? couldnt find any specific info in the manual for them so i thought i would play it safe and try 7lbs, ended up snapping a couple.
What motor?? Unless specified otherwise, 1/4" bolts are 60-80 INCH pounds (5-7 foot pounds). Unless I had a super good quality calibrated torque wrench, I'd never use a foot-pound wrench on such small fasteners.
its a 70el79r. I have 4 more screws on order. i can either just get them a little snug by hand or set my $30 torque wrench to 5lbs and pray. givin that some of the bolts did tighten to 7 without issue, i might just try the 5lb route
