Dammit.

After seeing these pictures it makes me wonder why my S-10 (2WD 4 cyl,manual trans) is struggling with my new used 17' Key West CC.

Is it overall weight that could be the problem or tounge weight?

I did pull it back from TN to IN (through mountains) but I had a helluva time. I have launched & retrieved but on the road it just doesn't seem to want to GO !! : )

My truck has developed a small acceleration hiccup sometimes (even w/out boat) that wasn't there before pulling the boat back to Indiana.
Did I kill my fuel pump? Something else? Transmission? : )

For the hitches that will fit my car, the max tongue wait is 200lbs while the max total weight is 2000lbs. The guy I am buying it from doesn't know the weight of the trailer or boat so how can I find out what the tongue weight is?

My Aunt used to tow a sunfish sail boat behind her 1965 VW bug. She never had a problem.

take a scale out and weight it at the tongue. most scales read over 300 lbs.
