Next time, that I need an axle swapped, I'd gladly pay you a dollar a minute. $20.00 no more. Maybe $25 if you detail the boat. Should only take 5 extra minutes.

2 tires and 8 little nuts! Bring it on down and I'll do it. Better yet, You got some nice lakes up there. Throw in a case of beer (We'll split it) and some bait and I'll be there. If I'm off by a couple minutes, well so be it, if it took an hour (and it wont) that would still be $20/hour cash.

The detailing is going to cost a little extra though unless you want me just to hose it down.

Be careful what you wish for! Sawzall does make the job quicker, though.

Skip the axle, and let's just fish! A case of beer would about do me in though. You'd need to help with that.:)

Sounds like a plan to me, screw the axle. I'll warn you, it doesn't take much of an excuse for me to go travel that direction and I'll bring the beer.

do NOT pay him $1000.... Call a wrecker to get the boat.... Meet the truck there..... Hand him a $20 and thank him for letting it set there and LEAVE..... Heck, the trailer is only worth about $300-$400 after you fix it... springs are fine.... wheel and tire are probably fine too... Air it up.... A few marks on the edge of the rim don't matter at all.... Fix it yourself with a new axle and a couple u bolts
