So the support bunks for my trailer are 7 foot long for a 16ft Tracker Pro 16. I am going to replace them, the one seems to be rotting out.....is it ok to put a 6 ft bunk in as the replacement or should it stay a 7 foot bunk?

Seems like you should put back what was there unless the bunks are sticking out a foot behind the transom.

6ft might work under your boat, but, yep 7ft definitely does. I'd put back 7ftrs, unless oldjeep is right and theres more then a foot of bunk out past the transom

Best to just put back what was there as that is how it was designed. I am sure 6 ft might work but also might do damage to the hull too.

Take the old one off and remove the carpet. Use the old wood as a pattern to locate the bolt holes. Lay the old wood on top of the new and drill through the old holes into the new. Make sure that the new piece of wood is the same height and length as the old wood. Put carpet back on and bolt it down. Piece of cake.
