Picked up a twofer, two trailers, 2 wheels, 3 axles, 2 posts, 1 1/2 jacks, 1 winch and 30 feet of chain link fence. Figured might not get hurt too much if they are scrapped, $100 invested.

The Shorelin'r I'm hoping to clean up to use with a 14' Tinny that weighs about 200 lbs.

Here it is after the one mile drive home.

The second one rode home on the other, didn't have one nut and bolt on it, just a bunch of pieces.

It spent a little time at the shadetree frame and welding shop.

Does that look straight enough?

Still seems to have a little bow in it.

Time for a bearing check, rust removal and paint.

The #2 trailer has no markings, it was a pile of parts that rode home on the other trailer. I grabbed a couple 15" spares from some enclosed trailers and tucked one axle on it just to move it around easier.

This is the center cross member

Here is the front axle 2" wide 2.5" high 51" wide at the frame and a spring

Hoping someone might have a reasonable guess of the load capacity of this one. 5 leafs on each spring, 5 bolt 4.5 hubs.

Looks like a little TLC and of course a sand blasting, priming and some paint will yeild a couple trailers. It looks like the first trailer could have its axle moved back some to give more tonque weight... Just me though...

gm - yea they both need a little tlc.

Sand blasting might be an option, have to talk to a friend, see if I could use his equipment. Might have to break out the air sander for the second option.

Moving the axle will happen after the boat gets loaded on it, if needed. It has a 3x3 tongue so it's really very heavy on the coupler side.

No one has a guess about #2 trailers capacity

You've been around here long enough to know... pull a hub, measure the bearings and compare to the data in the sticky.

Smoke, I have been here a while. Don't think I've ever looked at that sticky before.

Learn something new everyday  Thanks
