Okay here was the mission. To replace the trailer under my 86 Ebbtide riviera 180. The problem with the original trailer which I'm not sure it was the actual original. Was that it had 7.00 X 16" tires under it and set up on rollers. It set so high it was a nightmare to launch and load.So I got and much lower trailer that the boat will set on bunks and 15" wheels.

Okay So Its REALLY Handy having 2 bobcats when an occasion like thise arises
to lift the boat.Piece of cake actually!I used some teflex tree rigging straps and steel caribiners for the lifting points.

The boat Actually almost fit the bunks! I couldnt believe it! I only had to reweld the lower bunks!

Re: Trailer Swapping

Probably not the best modification but it will work.

Now because Obviously I'm going to float onto this trailer I only want to beable to float on the right way with no alignment issues. The ramp I generally use is in the open and theres usually a good breeze. So Side boards were my choice.

Okay I might add some additional supports und the boat and still need to add light brackets up on the guides but I'm happy with the days outcome.

Good work on the trailer swap. Two bobcats is every trailer boaters dream! A couple of comments about your "new" trailer. First, it looks very much like the Tennessee trailer branded "Ebbtide" that came with my son's 192SE. His has welded, non-adjustable bunk brackets custom-made for his hull. Yours appear to be the same in the pictures. Hope the hull fits the bunks properly. Next, it's hard to tell from the pictures but it appears the transom and all that weight from the engine/outdrive need to be a few inches further forward on the bunks for proper support. While that may require some mods to the bow-stop and winch stand, it should be minimal. Good luck!
