Is there any hope of making this trailer work with this boat? Its a 1999 4winns trailer that from what im told had a 21' 99 model boat on it. From what i understand the older boats such as my 85 santara 210 had deeper hulls.

Ayuh,......

I don't see anything a set of Torches,+ a Welder won't Fix.....

The outer bunks could be shimmed with taller wood,....
And,...
The Winch Stand could be cut off,+ extended, or replaced with a bolt on unit.....

bunks need to be extended under the transom. trailer is really minimum for that boat.

Good tie down points need to be added also. I don't see any. Some on the stern to keep it from riding forward and keep it down. I would add a strap over the bow to keep the bow down and in place if you suddenly decellerate.

What are the tires and axles rated for? What is the boat weight with fuel and goodies? If they don't match you could easily trade that trailer off for one that will suit your needs.

I agree trade it or sell it and buy the correct trailer for your needs. Much less work. IMO

Hmm i will definetly keep my eyes open for a trade, but finding a trailer here was a major pain.
It has 1760lb capacity tires and GVWR is 6000lbs. I believe my boat was around and likely less than 3000lbs new. Ill be swapping in a 305 so it will gain a bit of weight over the 4 cylinder that was once in it. The model number is D06432 made by Fourwinns in 1999. I have the vin as well, but im having trouble finding any other info about it.

It sounds as though the trailer has enough capacity. Add the tie downs and motor happily!:D

Its actually got quite a few tiedown locations.. i just dont have any straps on them right now. It has 4 points in the rear and 2 in the front. Finding them was unusually difficult though... the high gloss black or maybe just the locations made them illusive.

Its a very nice/heavy built trailer from what i can see. Im curious if you think i can move the winch tower and v roller farther up the tongue rather than just extending the bunks. I have to figure hopw to weigh it still to get the weigh balanced correctly though. I was also wondering about how high the boat seems to sit, if it looks like it may be hard to launch and load.

I would move that jack/wheel closer to the toung/front of the trailer.

A lot of strees on that thing right now.

Its like a lever, try lifting the trailer (by hand) where that wheel is now, you probably cant do it.

now go to the front of the trailer and try. probably a lot easier

Lol yeah i was actually considering using 2 even lol. Even at the tongue its got to be near 500lbs. I cant quite lift it without leaving my man pieces on the ground when im done.
