We have a 1983 Bayliner Capri bowrider with a Shorelander trailer. The winch lock on the power winch gave out last weekend and I think it's too old to consider repair. I think the boat is approx 2000 lb, my question is, do the manual winches hold the boat in place while trailering like the power winch used to, and whats the best option without braking the bank for brand/type/media.
