I have a lund s-14 20dlx. Does anybody know if the "20" in the model# is supposed to indicate the transom lenth? it's longer than 15, but not 20 either.. Just wondering if my long shaft will fit and cavitation plate will line up with the bottom..thanks

Re: transom question..

Hi FW2006,
Most 20-inch transoms are plus/minus an inch or two, same goes for 15s. I'd say that if it's between 18 and 22 it's a "20", and between 14 and 16, then it's a "15". Also, measure vertically from the top of the transom to a straight edge aligned with the bottom - NOT along the angled surface of the transom....
- Scott

And I have seen some smaller boats, like 14' aluminum that were way off; too short and talk about lower unit drag.....ugh!

Mark
