I am selling as is. The Transom is rotten and will needs to be fixed. Other than that it's a good boat.

Is this worth the money to have the transom rebuilt? They're asking only $2500 If so, what's a ballpark figure? Thanks.

Ya it's worth $2500. as a Donor boat to junk it out for a project hull...

It's a 1990 Wellcraft 233 Eclipse. I believe it's a 5.7L. Don't know what drive.

I have to throw in here, where you are depends on value as well. Also salt water vs. fresh water time depends too

If it's a Sweetwater barge, 'n not been in the Salt,...
It's Well worth the askin' price in Parts,...

The shape of the transom/ stern/ swinsteps, appears that a full transom overhaul would No doubt be a Nightmare...

If the motor, 'n drive, 'n trailer are Solid, it's worth twice that price in Parts, probably more...

You know the transom is shot. But you don't know the stringers or floor. Chances are that they are rotten also.
Just the transom? Around $1500 with engine & transom already out along with trim pump and whatever else is in the way. Fiqure 8hrs @ ?$ for engine & transom R&R. That already is pushing $5000.
20+ year old with mediocre curb appeal!

i would jump on that boat in a second......you will get it for 1800.

a dyi transom is 800 bux including the re and re. in canada.....that is an easy 8k boat
