Haxsaw,<br /><br />It’s easy to post a pic. <br /><br />1. Go to fishingworks.com where you have your pictures stored and log on.<br />2. Find the picture you want and click on it so it enlarges.<br />3. Once the picture is up do a right click on it and go down to Properties.<br />4. Click on Properties and a General tab will show up.<br />5. In the middle of that General tab you will see a title that says Address and you will see something like this after it: http://www.fishingworks.com/Users/UserFolders/combee/PhotoImages/Tboat3.jpg <br /><br />6. Highlight this address right click and copy it.<br />7. I usually go to word and paste it so I don’t lose it, but you can go straight to the forum and paste it in a reply post or new post if you like.<br />8. Put a
b] before the address and a [b]
after the address. Make sure there are no spaces anywhere in the address including the IMG’s! <br />9. If you do it in word first highlight it and copy it and post it on the forum.<br />10. Your final product will look like this!<br /><br />

Thanks for the info Combee, I take it that, that is your dog? Looks like someone might be a bit spoiled.. <br /><br />Is that your boat? I see a lock on the hatch in the picture, I have that same kinda lock on my boat but no key.. is there a source out there for these locks?<br /><br />

Haxsaw,<br /><br />Yeah that’s my dog. She has a little problem, she sinks like a rock if she tries to go swimming! :D She’s usually pretty good on the boat but sometimes she comes close to falling out. <br /><br />As for the locks when they did work, like eight years ago they used one of those round keys. The latching part in the hatch rusted away along time ago. I tried to get those replaced but nobody cares them anymore. I think I’m going to go ahead and replace them with the newer type of latch. I just have to re-drill the holes for them and I hate drilling into my boat. :D <br /><br />Here’s a full picture of her!<br /><br />

that is an awesome boat Combee.. you've seen my boat, Not as nice as yours but trying to get it there.. <br /><br />It's a 1991 Nitro 180FS with an Evinrude 150.. All I need to do now is repaint the engine, that would be a big improvement..<br /><br />Tried to find replacement locks too, no luck.. I guess I'll have to go to something elso also..<br /><br />Looks like the Keys!! how is the fishing there?

That pictures was taken in the Keys about a month ago. It was the first time I ever trailer that boat down there. Everyday we had boat trouble. :( Hopefully I’ve got everything working again and I can get out this weekend if the weather calms down.<br /><br />Dan

I looked into using that, that stuff would have never worked on my boat.. I am satisfied with the coosa composite..

you forgot to mention seacast is also about 10 times as much as wood. It would not have worked for me either. <br /> haxsaw, how much was the composite you used?<br /><br />Rich

Sweet boat Combee, If'in I can only hit lotto I'd have one too! Hacksaw? Do you think the coosa stuff would work for a casting platform? How is it to work with and is it pricey? I have a '77 Procraft bass boat that me and my kid are converting to a flats boat. Let us all know bud!

Hacksaw, Just checked out the transom job pics you posted, Very nice work indeed! One question though, how long did it take you with your saw in hand to make that first cut into her??? :eek: LOL<br />Thanks in advance for the Coosa skinny.

iRich, One sheet of 4' x 8' x 3/4" of coosa "blue water 20" cost me $103.03 plus freight which was $70.. <br /><br />Liemavick, The coosa composite is easy to work with, I don't know if it would work for a casting platform.. it would depend on the supports... it is 40% lighter than plywood though..<br /><br />the only thing that I found out is with it being compressed foam and fiber that you can not screw to it, it strips out easy.. Bolting through is no problem though..<br /><br />And to answer your question, I put doing this off for a few months (didn't want to miss out on the fishing) but once I decided to do it I started cutting right away.. I'm prett good working with my hands..

Thanks Hacksaw for the info. Judging by the pics and your purchase info (4x8 sheet) I'm guessing you may have a scrap or two of that coosa laying around hmmm? Any chance of a scrap measuring 24" by 48" or so??? If so lets make a deal, would love to try it for the casting platform, I've got a welder lined up for the support, just trying to get a place to stand at a fair price. let me know bud! Liemavick, I would love to make a deal with, the peice I have is 16" x 8'.. my transom is 16" tall so I used 2/3 of the sheet.. will this work for you?

Haxsaw, With you being the resident "Coosa pro" your going to have to tell me if it could work. Ultimately Id like to have a platform of 48" x 24". If we cut the remaining Coosa in half we have the 48" covered, I could trim the 32" down to 24". My question is can the two pieces be joined butted together like Im thinking? Having never seen Coosa I'm guessing here, something like a foam core with fiberglass matting on both sides? Obviously I'm going to be standing on this thing so it has to be sturdy. What do you think bud?

Liemavick, If cut each piece 12"x48" and but the joints (You can use a biscuit cutter to keep the joints even)and epoxy together (West System worked greatfor me)and clamp together, fiberglass both sides with woven roven.. Then have your frame made (I take it it will be 24" wide x 48" long)putting the supports on 12" centers (giving you a total of 5 supports)and bolt to finished coosa to the frame I think it would hold..<br /><br />just a thought.. have you called coosa.. if you don't want to join it..they will cut it any size you want it.. you will pay more but get the size you need..<br /><br />It's your call.. If you want what I have, I will sell it to you for $50 with frieght.. UPS Ground only.. <br /><br />
